SINOPSIS

Un joven español da tumbos por Berlín. En su teléfono conviven apps para buscar piso, trabajo y sexo. Su abuela también emigró a Alemania, pero acabó volviendo al pueblo para formar una familia. Allí es testigo de cómo su nieto hace dos descubrimientos: que es marica y que es pobre.

VALORACIÓN: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Dice el refrán que “el buen perfume se vende en frasco pequeño” y, aunque “El Power Ranger Rosa” no es un perfume, cumple con el dicho a la perfección. En un formato de bolsillo (literal) y apenas 120 páginas encierra una historia actual y a la vez nostálgica que atrapa desde las primeras líneas.

Esta es la historia de un joven español que ha dejado atrás su vida en España en busca de oportunidades en Berlín, y al mismo tiempo es la historia de su abuela, quien años atrás también emigró a Alemania huyendo del franquismo. Las historias de ambos se van entremezclando con constantes saltos temporales que nos muestran como las vidas de abuela y nieto guardan más de un paralelismo.

La narración pasa de la sordidez de la noche berlinesa a los recuerdos (no siempre agradables) de infancia en el pueblo, de la dureza de la emigración en el siglo pasado a la soledad del emigrante actual aún cuando está rodeado de gente, y todo ello con un lenguaje sencillo y directo que hace que más de uno pueda verse reflejado en algunas de las situaciones que se describen.

El final te deja un poco con el corazón roto pero, al igual que ocurre en la vida, no todas las historias tienen siempre un final feliz, lo que lo hizo incluso más especial.

“El Power Ranger Rosa” es una historia de abuelas y nietos y de cómo para entender nuestro presente a veces tenemos que mirar al pasado. También es un buen ejemplo de cómo no son necesarias cientos y cientos de páginas para contar una buena historia, y que con poco se puede decir mucho.

Christo Casas supone un gran descubrimiento en la narrativa queer contemporánea y espero que este Power Ranger Rosa sea solo el primero de muchos libros de su autor.
